New Pescara Bridge

New Pescara Bridge

The Flaiano bridge meets the need for a new river crossing in the city of Pescara, and is a strategic work for the modernisation and development of the city and its road system.
The bridge is of the cable-stayed type with a single mast, consisting of a steel-concrete deck with 2 spans of 85.90 m and 9.00 m, with a total length of 94.90 m. The width of the deck is ≈ 28.00. The work is completed by a bipartite mast approximately 50 m high, to which 10 stays are connected to support the deck, and a secondary mast approximately 37 m high, which draws a fork whose recess is spanned by a grid of photovoltaic panels.
