New Belvedere Bridge in L’Aquila

New Belvedere Bridge in L’Aquila

The new bridge is built after demolishing the existing one to connect the two hills of Addolorata and Belvedere.
The cable-stayed bridge is the solution that presents the greatest formal modernity, characterising itself as a strong distinguishing mark of the city and a true aerial platform of belvedere over the valley.
The structure consists of a single span of 80.0 m; the mixed steel/concrete deck has a total width of 16.2 m and consists of 2 box girder.
In a central position take places the antenna for supporting the stays.
